Q3: um homem diante do computador, cuja tela mostra “i love you, do you love me too?” e “of course baby i love only you, but i’m having a problem with my visa, if you can just wire me $2000 i can sort it out and i’ll be on my way to america next week”; ele diz: “Of course her love is real, why would you even ask that?”. Q4: o de jaleco: “This computer fooled him into thinking it was in love, so it must feel love just like we do.”; o idoso: “I mean, yes, if you have all the functions of love…”. Q5: um pato de madeira com um gravador de fita no corpo flutua entre dois patos brancos; onomatopeias “Quack” e “Quack”. Q6: o de jaleco: “This tape recorder inside a wooden duck has fooled the other ducks, so it must be able to think like a duck.”; o idoso: “Well, I mean, I suppose if the ducks thinks so…”

Página 2 da tira, seis quadros. Q1: em tons de cinza, um mágico de cartola com serrote diante de uma mulher dividida em duas caixas; um espectador aponta: “Wow, he cut that woman in half!”. Q2: o de jaleco: “This magician fooled the audience into thinking he has magic powers, that’s functionally the same as really possessing the dark arts.”; o idoso: “Yeah, I suppose, functionally, that’s all magic is…?”. Q3: um coiote preso a um túnel pintado num paredão de rocha, com um papa-léguas ao lado e uma lata de tinta. Q4: o de jaleco: “The roadrunner fooled the coyote into thinking this painted wall was a tunnel, so it must be a tunnel.”; o idoso: “Hmm, I’m not sure about that one…”. Q5: um homem de barba branca e paletó fala ao idoso: “So as you can see, philosophical zombies are incoherent, and if two things are functionally identical, then they are identical in fact.”; o idoso: “That sounds reasonable…”. Q6: o de jaleco: “These philosophers fooled other philosophers into thinking the functional theory of mind is a good theory, so it must be a plausible theory of mind.”; o idoso: “Hey, wait a minute!”
