Solomon’s categories are a beginning, it seems to me, but we would need to add more categories, such as the forms of suicide-homicide discussed in my essay, or the apparently inadvertent deaths that occur increasingly through fatal mixtures of drugs and alcohol, and where the question of intention is very hard to pin down.
